Shelby Dinelli
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Children
Hey, I’m Shelby!
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, holding individual membership with BACP.
My therapeutic journey started when I was a 3rd year student in Social Care and started a module in Psychotherapy, from that moment I knew what area I was supposed to work in.
I graduated in 2015 with an honours degree in Social Care and started working with children and teenagers who experienced complex trauma and attachment dysregulation. I commenced a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling finishing in 2018 which introduced me to the arena of Family Therapy and childhood trauma.
My therapeutic approach is very much a Person Centred Integrated Approach however it’s holistic in a sense I will adapted the approach to best support the client I am supporting. The approach helps the client to meet goals we have developed together from an assessment and case conceptualization.
I have experience working with clients in the areas listed below just to name a few.
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Sexual Identity
• Self Esteem
• Attachment
• Childhood Trauma
My specialized areas are in Family Therapy, Mediation and Inner child/ Trauma work as I have worked in this area over the last number of years.
My work allows me to be a glimmer of hope in someone’s life or the lighthouse in the storm. I will be the light on a darkened path to support you in finding your way back to you. Going at a pace that is comfortable, natural and guided by you. I work with families, individuals and couples with the age range from pre-adolescence to adulthood.
I am here and ready to start your journey when you are.
